Martin Mayer

Dr. Martin Mayer believes in turning failure into advantage. Thus, he has reinvented himself more than any other human being, having been a musician, teacher, librarian, paralegal, school administrator, house painter, psychologist, chief financial officer, travel consultant, and always a writer. Having earned doctorates in counseling psychology and school administration from The University of San Francisco, Martin was awarded two grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities. His humorous travelogues have been published in numerous motoring magazines. Martin’s writing demonstrates the value and meaning pets provide in our lives, the value of an optimistic outlook, and consolation for the inconsolable.
