William Leet

William Leet lived for many years in Japan. Leaving there, he moved to the east coast of Florida and spent the months sifting through a box of journals detailing his days among the Japanese. At the end of it he published his first story. He lived for a while in Texas before returning to Louisiana, the place he had run from at the age of nineteen. During his time in Japan, he published three English textbooks for use in Japanese schools. He has written and translated for the UCLA Journal of Asian Studies, and his stories have appeared in Blue Lake Review, Shadows Express, The Rusty Nail, Literary Orphans, and The Fat City Review. His essays have appeared in American Athenaeum. Outside the Wire is his first novel.
